Default help please

Hi
, I had a gastric balloon fitted 6 months ago (really wanted a gastric band but bmi just not quite high enough) as I have high blood pressure and an underactive thyroid and was finding weight loss just about impossible, I have managed to lose about one and a half stone but have come to a standstill, has anyone else had a balloon and had the same problem or better results?

Was your weight really that bad for you to consider that procedure? I wonder why you didn't under liposuction first, I think it's a safer procedure.

Default Hang in there with the weight loiss

Hi, I think you should not worry that your weight has come to a strandstill. I think that happens to everyone. your body has lost the weight. it happens with anyone even if they dont have a balloon fitted. You may want to check about the under active thyroid though that you are on the correct tablets. since i have a friend who put on lots of weight due to the fact she had a problem with her thyroid. now that the GP has put her on some medication for it, she is starting to loose the weight. maybe also a little excercise as well will help tone up and loose more weight. bearing in mind about the fact muscle is heavier than fat! Hope that helps. X

So you think that medications for thyroid problems would help?
