hi i appreciate this is in the wrong section but as i cant find the correct one i hope somebody can offer some advice anyway, my question is has anyone had lip reduction surgery, what are the risks and do they work, also what could i expect to pay for this procedure.
Im a 34 yr old male with large lips (not huge) that has been ridiculed about them since school and i was looking to finally get something done about them so ive researched the net and found very little regarding this procedure any ideas guys?
thanks in advance

While I haven't heard about lip reductions, I have heard of surgeries being performed on people with Down's Syndrome, reducing the size of their tongues so that tey have a more "mainstream" appearance.
If surgeons can reduce the size of some one's tongue, I am sure they can do something about lips.

Dear Bullitnut
Surgical reduction of the lips can be performed. The procedure can be performed under local anaesthetic as a day case. It involves excision of mucosa on the inner aspect of the lips.
Fullness of the lips, however, is a sign of youth and for this reason most people are more interested in having their lips enhanced.

Fuller lips are so sexy, so many ladies love fuller lips on their men . think about it before you have anything done, I understand you were ridiculed but speaking from experience fuller lips are a definite turn on.;)

I have to agree with Dee.. Full lips are very attractive on both men and women. Full lips are so kissable!....but it can reach a point where they can be so large that it can detract from the rest of the face however I have seen VERY FEW people with lips that are too large, and since you say your lips are not "huge" it sounds like you don't have too large lips.
