Have you noticed this?

Doctors say that our noses get longer as we age. Instead of shortening the nose, which might be a bit too tricky for most surgeons, chin implants are being used.

When I see a celebrity that has had this facial procedure, I have to wonder if they are please with the results. Don't you?

This is a before and after photo of Melanie Griffith, who had her chin and lips done. What do you think?

I think Melanie Griffiths went well over the top with all of her work. Many of the procedures she has had actually look fake, as opposed to giving her a more natural look, which is where I think these sorts of implants are wrong really. Just my opinion.

Have you seen Marie Osmond? She had to have had some work done during the last year because her face looks really strange.

Have you noticed?

Is it a fact that our nose get longer as we age? I hope not, mine is big enough!!

I have not seen any photos of Marie Osmond lately, but if she had to have some corrections, it must be pretty bad.

Oh she has ruined her face, she was so beautiful and now she is wax like, I can't believe she took away her own beautiful looks by having all this surgery done, her chin does look quite long.

obviously they might be pleased with the results.

Chin and facial implants are designed to add volume to the face.

Certainly increasing chin skeletal projection can provide a more prominent buttress to redrape the soft tissues over and this can help with neck and jawline contour and also can contribute to reducing the apprent overprojection of the nose when the chin is retrusive.

WRT malar implants - they need to be subtle. In the right patient they can produce fabulous results by predictably increasing volume of the midface and correcting a negative vector cheek to increase lower eyelid support in a concurrent blepharoplasty.

I do agree that they can be overdone though and that they are not for every patient. When they are used selection of the optimal implant for each individual patient is essential.

Can't more volume be added in other ways? Can't the skin be stretched a little tighter to restore more youthful volume, or is it simply easier to add more real estate?

LOL!

Is it really true or just a myth?? Because I have quite long nose so if it get more longer I will look really horrible.
