Just thinking about someone performing surgery on such a sensitive area makes me uncomfortable, but I guess some women feel they need their nipples corrected.

Since you probably can breast feed after this surgery, there seems no functional reason for it.

Why do people have this surgery?

well some women have inverted nipples which look a bit funny so I suppose thats reason enough!

There are also examples of some women who have nipples that are not in the same place on each breast. We all know that our breasts are not exactly the same, but soem are more noticeable than others.

I guess if they are really off line then maybe some surgery if you have them on show alot:D or maybe people for confidence have it done.

Inverted nipples are the main cause of concern - initially use the Nipplette to help. If this does not work then a surgical correction is require.

Large nipples are also a problem in some cases and then reduction is possible.

Nipples often play a huge part in our well-being. Both men and women can suffer enlarged, asymmetrical, protruding or inverted nipples. As many people experience discomfort, they choose to undergo a nipple correction. A nipple correction is a relatively simple procedure and is done under local anaesthesia.

Nipple correction: the procedure

Enlarged or extended nipples can be congenital or a result of breastfeeding. A nipple correction can reduce the length of the nipples. This procedure is therefore often called a nipple reduction.
This nipple correction takes place under local anaesthesia and the surgery leaves no visible scars. Sometimes, a part of the milk ducts can be lost. So if you want to give breastfeeding after you have a nipple correction, you should inform your doctor. You then have the possibility to choose for a less spectacular nipple correction, one that preserves the milk ducts.

i find this issue very sensitive and embarrassing to discuss with my girlfriends. they think i'm over reacting. i have inverted nipples and it sucks!!! i actually have intimacy issues because of this!

call me shallow but i have gotten close to this guy and i want to have my nipples fixed before i start dating him. i mean, i'm not really doing it for him. it's for myself, but this time, i feel like i have one more good reason why i should actually go for it.

i live in queens and i've heard breast surgery in new york (http://www.breastenlargementnewyork.com/your-decision.html) is among the best in the field. the sound of new york already implies a hefty price tag. do any of you know how much a nipple surgery cost?
