Hi Kim,
This is a very pertinent question to ask during a financial recession!

The answer is that although there are a great many competent surgeons overseas you may be left in a difficult position practically and legally if there were to be an adverse outcome following surgery.

Followup is also challenging if you have surgery abroad.
For your (breast augmentation) surgery to be successful you will require significant followup and it is not just a case of a single one off treatment.

I would advise that you think carefully about these issues,

Hi Kim, I just thought I would put in a quick reply to your post. I had my breast augmentation in South Africa by Dr Rik Van de Poel. I had my nose done and upper and lower eye surgery all at the same time and I have to say it was brilliant. I was in the country 10 days and it has been fine. Looking back though it was quite far to go so my sister had her eyes done and my mother had a face lift in Cyprus which was great and we had a fab holiday out of it. We booked it through an agent "Surgery in Cyprus" so they sorted everything out so it was really easy.

Please make sure that you calculate the true costs and weigh up the aftercare issues. More iinfo on cosmetic surgery abroad (http://www.cosmeticcompare.com/breast-enlargement-cosmetic-surgery-abroad.php).
