Hi,

I haven't been on here for a while but let me give you a brief history about my LHR treatments. I am a 23 year old male with type III skin and dark coarse hair. I had my entire back and entire chest and abdomen treated 4 times about 1.5 years ago using both GentleYAG and GentleLASE lasers (mostly LASE though becuase I had heard it is more effective). I should say that the reason I chose those lasers was that I read here that they are the best option for my skin and hair type.

One mistake I made was that I had some of those treaments spaced very close to each other (6 weeks or so) and since then it seems that most people here say you wanna go for at least 8 weeks or even more. So the bottom line is that I certainly have seen some reduction but considering how hairy I am I def. needed more treatments.

Now I have decided to get back into it. However, I have moved to a new area which is more rural than I previously was. I did some online search to find the clinics around my area and I also looked at the yellow book. There are a few places within 15 miles of where I live so I called all of them. Of the few which actually do LHR, it seems that none of them even have YAG or LASE. One place has variable pulse light (VPL) lasers and another has soprano diode laser (the diode one is offering 5 treatments for $1437.5 and it could include 2 additional treatments in case of unsatisfactory results). I was trying to do some search on both of them here but I read mixed things about them.

I guess I could do more search to include centers within 30 miles of my apt. to see if they have LASE.

Considering my skin and hair type and the fact that I had gotten good results with LASE how effect with a diode laser be for me?

Thanks and have a happy Thanksgiving everyone!
