My skin type is fair skinned (Type II) with mostly dark hair on my chest and abs. I have already had 5 treatments with a center using the Soprano XL laser. I have been satisfied with the results. When I returned for my 6th treatment, I found they are no longer in business.
I found another laser center that uses 2 types of lasers, the Soprano and another called Cutera (Nd:Yag). The technician took a look at me at my consultation and suggested using the Cutera, not the Soprano, as she stated that my hair was now very fine and Soprano would not work well on me.
I came home and did independent research and found the Cutera is best used for darker skin types with coarse hair, which I am not; and the Soprano would be better for me again.
Please advise as since she is a technician, she should know (I would think), but research contradicts her.
